Gate 2013 Notification, Application Form, Pattern, Exam Date, Eligibility


Gate 2013 Notification: Graduate Aptitude Test (GATE) is an Entrance test and conducted jointly by IIS (Indian Institute of Science) and IIT (Indian Institutes of Technology). GATE examination is organized every year for join engineering programs on PG level in Top Engineering colleges in India. GATE examination date has been published on official websites and registration will start from 1st week of September and will close on last of September 2012. GATE examination will be attempted by admission seeker in online and offline mode which depends on selected engineering trade.


 Gate 2013 Application Form:

Aspirants may apply from 1st Sep 2012 for GATE examination through online mode and also last date of online registration is defined on 30 Sep 2012. General and OBC candidates must pay Rs.1200/- and for Reserved category Rs.600/- as application fee. Also there is no fee for female applicants.

Gate 2013 Pattern:

Gate Examination question paper is consisted of 65 questions. Examination duration is 3 hours and total marks are 100. Questions are asked in MCQ and based on Common data and general aptitude.

Gate 2013 Exam Date: Gate 2013 examination will be in two mode online and offline. Read carefully for entrance date for written test:

Gate 2013 Eligibility: Aspirants need to qualify for eligibility for Gate examination. They should read Gate eligibility carefully for final decision:



  • Aspirants having or appearing for engineering in any trade of final year under Gate range are applicable for Gate 2013 examination.
  • Candidates appearing post graduate in Engineering in concerned trade may apply with application form.
  • Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master's degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master's degree programme and Dual Degree programme in Engineering/Technology.
