As a leading Oracle Partner in India, Softcell is investing in delivering solutions on Oracle Exadata through a dedicated Centre of Excellence. Softcell is in the process of building a team of experts in revolutionary database technologies such as Oracle Exadata and deliver high quality solutions to customers.
We are looking for experienced DBAs with a minimum of eight to ten years experience with Oracle in a production environment. Specific knowledge is required in the areas of performance tuning, file distribution, memory management and tuning SQL statements. Candidates must be skilled in the development of backup and recovery procedures and have an excellent operating system foundation.
We are currently looking for Oracle DBA's with the following skill sets:Provide solutions for customers including architecture design and recommendations for Oracle infrastructure, applications and development environments and manage all related customer projects.
Demonstrable experience of managing high-performance, high-capacity databases in a critical production environment
Design, deploy, and proactively help customers manage day to day operations and administration of Oracle 10G/11G RAC, Oracle Exadata database environments to insure optimal performance and efficiency.
Develop, implement, support and maintain standard operating procedures for database environments that will support production operations in 24/7/365 environment.
Solid Oracle 11g RAC experience including build, general administration, troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
Solid infrastructure knowledge including high-availability solutions such as Oracle DataGuard, Disk replication technologies, etc∙
Excellent SQL & Database Level performance tuning skills
Expertise in backup and recovery and migration using RMAN, datapump and export/import.
Experience in Oracle Exadata, Data Guard, Golden Gate replication a plus
Expertise in database upgrade from Oracle 9i/10G to 11G.
Experience in maintenance and management of databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control.
Experience on Solaris, Linux and AIX OS including shell scripting skills will be an added advantage.
Desired Profile
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
8 - 10 years experience with verifiable skills in Oracle
Mentor other DBAs in connection with their skill development objectives
Experience with Oracle database upgrades
Willingness to work in onsite at customer place or 24x7 support model
Team player with excellent communication skills
